Tipp City Schools is pleased to announce that Garmann Miller, an award-winning architectural design firm, has been selected to design the district's new PK-8 school. This decision, facilitated by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC), marks a significant milestone in the district's ongoing efforts to enhance educational facilities and provide future-ready, safe learning environments for students.
Superintendent Aaron Moran said, "This milestone brings the district one step closer to breaking ground on a new school designed to serve future generations of students with modern, flexible educational spaces that support different learning styles, collaboration, creativity, and academic excellence."
Garmann Miller is honored to be selected for the project and looks forward to continuing its longstanding partnership with the community to design a school that inspires learning and growth for all students and reflects the community's aspirations.
CEO Eric Baltzell said, "We've worked hand-in-hand with the district throughout the master planning process, which included a Facilities Task Force and several community meetings to achieve consensus on the PK-8 plan. Turning that vision into reality is inspiring."
The district's focus on providing spaces that foster student growth, innovation, and collaboration perfectly aligns with Garmann Miller's design philosophy. "This project embodies those values by aiming to enhance the learning experience while honoring Tipp City's tradition of excellence," said Baltzell.
Tipp City's unique character and commitment to educational excellence will be central to the design. Baltzell emphasized the importance of reflecting the community's values and blending tradition and innovation in this project. "Our approach is always to create designs that resonate with the community's spirit while setting high standards for functional, sustainable learning environments."
Moran is confident that the district's vision and goals will be realized with a new school featuring modern, adaptable learning spaces, which will become a source of pride for the entire community.
Garmann Miller's extensive background in PK-8 educational environments makes them uniquely suited for this project. Their team has designed multiple school buildings across the state, including projects at Greenville, New Bremen, and Celina, gaining a reputation for creating innovative spaces that enhance learning and community engagement.
The district's master facilities plan also includes renovations to Tippecanoe High School and improvements to district infrastructure. Tipp City Schools expects to finalize the selection of a construction manager and owner's representative by the end of the month, further advancing the project timeline.
