A Tipp City family with students enrolled in our district previously lived in Mayfield, Kentucky, one of the hardest hit areas by the tornado over the weekend. They are collecting toys for families and plan to drive to Mayfield this weekend to deliver the gifts. Broadway, LT Ball, Tippecanoe Middle School and Tippecanoe High School are collecting new toys if you would like to donate. This is a quick turn around as all items need to be at one of the schools by the end of school on Thursday, December 16th. #WEareTIPP

Memories...a beautiful part of the holiday season. Thank you to our wonderful teachers who help our children create keepsakes such as this one made in kindergarten in 2004. Post in the comments a photo of a handmade ornament you cherish. #WEareTIPP #handmadetreasures

Today we share a story of kindness and generosity! Tippecanoe Middle School 8th grader Ava Hanrahan had an idea for a community service project and after speaking with her principal Diane Voress this is what happened! Ava asked her classmates and TMS staff to donate items for the Miami County Animal Shelter in Troy. She hoped to get about fifty items but far exceeded her expectations! Boxes she and her mother decorated are overflowing with toys, treats, food, blankets, and more. Donations are still being added. The family intends to load the donations after school on Friday. #WEareTIPP
Last week we shared a story of love, joy, hope, and inspiration. Cassandra and Josh Ringo finalized the adoption of three biological siblings. Their story warmed the hearts of so many people! Do you have a beautiful story for us to share this holiday season? #WEareTIPP
It is looking festive at the Board of Education thanks to some very creative employees! Look at the large gnome. It is actually a tree and the other side is adorned with traditional ornaments. #WEareTIPP #holidaydecorations
Congratulations to Tippecanoe High School senior, Colin Maalouf, who bowled a perfect 300 game last night at Beaver-Vu Bowling. Colin’s perfect game helped the Red Devils defeat Stebbins in the opening match of the season! #WEareTIPP #TogetherweareExtraordinary #perfectscore
Today marks the 80th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day honors those who lost their lives during the attack by the Japanese on a Naval base in Hawaii. President Franklin D. Roosevelt proclaimed it a "date that will live in infamy." #pearlharborremberanceday
Introducing Broadway Elementary Super Citizens for November. This character trait displayed that earned the 2nd and 3rd graders this honor is contentment! Congratulations to our students! #WEareTIPP #TogetherweareExtraordinary
Congratulations to the district's former superintendent Dr. Gretta Kumpf who was named this year's Outstanding Citizen of the Year by the Tipp City Chamber of Commerce at last night's annual gala. Congratulations to the Tippecanoe Middle School Garden Club for winning the Dayton Regional Green competition "The Giving Garden." The competition encouraged businesses, schools and individuals to create a garden space and donate the produce to a local food bank. The TMS Garden Club donated more than 150 pounds of fresh produce to Needy Basket. Thank you to advisor Dale Bonifas and his amazing students! The top award includes $1,800 to further develop and improve the TMS courtyard and garden. #WEareTIPP #TogetherweareExtraordinary
Here is an opportunity to support the Tippecanoe High School swim team. #WEareTIPP
Tipp City Schools appreciates the generosity of Needy Basket, a local organization that provides food and other assistance to families in our community. Now, the district is holding its annual food drive to restock the shelves. How many pounds will we collect this year? We know our students, families, and staff will make this tradition a success! #WEareTIPP
LT Ball students and staff are collecting pajamas, underwear, and socks for Project Believe, a local organization that delivers holiday cheer to children in group homes, residential treatment centers, and inpatient mental health care. Teachers Erica Brogan and Jeannie Moore organized collection. Donations can be dropped off at the Board of Education or LT Ball Intermediate School. #WEareTIPP #TogetherweareExtraordinary
We want to give one more round of applause to the Tippecanoe High School cast and crew of the fall play, She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition. And, thank you to Expressions Studios for these terrific photos. #WEareTIPP
Tippecanoe Middle School students in the Accelerated Math 6 classes of Christa Oen and Mackenzie English completed a unique STEM activity. The students designed and built a scaled-down model of a balloon float for the Macy's Day parade. Students solved story problems to obtain the measurements and supplies they wished to have for their float. The students did an amazing job with this! They were very creative, cooperative, intuitive as they persevered through situations that arose. The floats ranged from bobblehead turkeys and rolling floats to fishing poles and Santa Claus.
As we prepare for Thanksgiving break, please note the district's hours at the Board of Education office.
