🧬 As part of the Wit and Wisdom lesson on cellular respiration, some LT Ball fourth graders did a little experiment to see what goes on inside their bodies when red blood cells take the carbon dioxide that's made in our cells to our lungs. 🫁The students made predictions and drew a diagram of the experiment. 🥼They added yeast to warm water, "fed" it with sugar and covered the bottle with a balloon.🎈 This resulted in carbon dioxide being produced and gas inflating the balloon. In preparation for our Dayton Literary Peace Prize author visit, Audrey Kinninger, Eli Ramos, and Allie Goff headed to WYSO for podcast training with producers Will Davis and Chris Welter. Not only did they learn the ins and outs of podcasting, but they also toured the WYSO studio and explored its archives, which contain historical programming dating back to 1958! From Tippecanoe High School Athletic Director Kregg Creamer: The Red Devils played well in the OHSAA Div. I District Golf Tournament at Pipestone Golf Course. Tippecanoe shot a team score of 323 to tie for 7th place in the SW District Tournament. 👏🏻The top three teams ( 16 teams competed) and the top three individuals (96 total golfers) qualified for the 2024 OHSAA State Div. I Tournament. 🏌️This finish for Tippecanoe is the highest in many years. Eli Voisard was the only Red Devils senior and finished his THS career with a birdie on #18! AJ also possesses a keen sense of awareness on the defensive side of the ball, with the way he reads offensive plays and then reacts to disrupt the opponent's outcome. AJ doesn't possess a big body frame, but the discipline and commitment to the game and his team display the heart of a lion on the practice field and game time. 💥He is a great teammate and one of our best leaders on both sides of the ball. Coach Knapke said, "Vaeda decided to join our XC squad as an 8th grader, and we are so glad she did!! 😊She continues to improve, and her hard work is not going unnoticed! 🏃♀️Thus far in the season, Vaeda has cut a whopping 1 minute and 25 seconds off her first meet time. ⏲️She recently competed in the Dave Lightle Invitational, crushing her previous best time by almost 20 seconds and running a time of 15:51.2. 😊Vaeda always has a smile on her face and has become an important vocal leader for our girls team.🎉 Before or after her race, Vaeda can be seen running around, supporting other runners along the course. 🏃♀️She is the ultimate teammate and would do anything for anybody at any time. "We know exactly what we will get from Jackson each day, his very best. He prepares himself in a championship way each and every week. Last week, he tied the school record for TD receptions in a season with 10 (in only six games). He leads the league in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. 💪The approach Jackson has to each week exemplifies success and dedication to being his best!!
