Bus Pass Criteria

BUS PASS REQUESTS ARE FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES.

Definition of a bus pass: Typically, it is a one-day/one-time emergency request for alternate transportation.

Due to increased bus ridership on the district elementary school buses, the Transportation Department/school buildings may not be able to honor requests for bus passes on some school buses. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause families.  Please be sure to plan accordingly for your children.

When available on the middle school/high school buses only, for the safety of students, all bus pass requests require 48-hour notice and are dependent upon seat availability. A written request must be turned into the building office of the school the student attends.

Examples of considered requests:

  1. 1-day request for emergency purposes to a grandparent or alternate address

  2. Parent out of town

The request must include:

  • Date

  • Student name

  • Reason for request

  • Name & address of where the student is coming from or going to

  • Parent/guardian signature

  • Phone number to reach a parent
