The Tippecanoe High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 50 juniors and seniors into the organization. Superintendent Mark Stefanik welcomed families, students, and influential educators to the induction ceremony.
The National Honor Society is committed to recognizing students for scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921.
Stefanik congratulated the students and emphasized they earned the prestigious honor because of their outstanding academic distinctions, impressive extra-curricular involvement, and willingness to help others.
He told them, "You are amongst the best in your class at Tippecanoe High School. Hard work, discipline, dedication, determination, perseverance, and motivation helped you achieve membership into NHS."
He also reminded students to remember the teachers, coaches, advisors, and other staff members who are responsible for providing them with a quality education, enriching opportunities, and unique programs.
