This is the bulletin board under construction at Tippecanoe Middle School. Math teacher Nancy Murray asked students and staff to trace their hand and cut it out for the bulletin board. It is designed to show support for and represent the innocent people being affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. #WEareTIPP
Congratulations to Tippecanoe High School junior Heather Diehl for earning her Gold Award! This is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Her project, TIPP CITY JUNIOR THEATRE SOCIETY, provided performing arts opportunities for middle school students in our community. Heather created weekly online Zoom classes to teach theatre skills such as pantomime, improv, comedic acting, and voice acting. She then went on to host a week-long workshop where the students would gather to use the skills they learned to write, cast, and perform their own mini plays. #WEareTIPP
Pi Day is today, 3.14, but Tippecanoe Middle School students in the classes of Debbie Fetters celebrated Friday with ROUND goodies. Thanks to the students and their parents for the great assortment. Ms. Fetters said, "It was an IRRATIONAL celebration!" #WEareTIPP
The 1st grade classes of Amy Blake, Nancy Carus, Angie Anderson and Sandy Berning created classroom communities. Each student "constructed" a building that would be found in a community and added amenities such as parks, lakes, and rivers. Streets were named after the students; towns were named after the teachers! Blakeville, Carusville, Andersonville, and Berning Town. Students then had to navigate through town using a compass. This activity helps cover the geography standards of places and regions, and spatial thinking and skills. #WEareTIPP
Let's get a round of applause for some of our creative, talented students!
