Top student researchers from Tipp City Schools presented their award-winning projects to Tipp City Rotarians this week. This is the 18th season for the Tippecanoe Science Day Program (the first round of competition) and the 17th year that Tipp City Rotary has provided funding to send students to the next round, Upper Miami Valley District Science Day. These 12 students from LT Ball, TMS, and THS qualified for State Science Day in May. It was "Hope Floats Day" at Tippecanoe High School. Hope Squad teamed up with Upper Room Worship Center to serve ice cream floats during lunch today as part of Hope Week, fives days of events to reduce mental health stigma and promote positivity and empathy. #WEareTIPP
It is Weigh-In Wednesday at Broadway Elementary School. Today's tally is 400 pounds of coins for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students and staff donated loose change for the Hero Squad Campaign (formerly Pennies for Patients). Thank you to Mallory Normile and April Taylor for organizing this annual drive. The District Wellness Team is at it again with another staff health initiative! It's helping participants prepare for the annual Relay for Life 5K hosted by LT Ball Intermediate. District staff has a 30-day plan to get ready for the May 19th event and every Thursday participants meet as a group to train together. Tippecanoe High School students in the Spanish class of Ashley Ridge participated in a fun cultural activity. In parts of Mexico and Latin America, families color hollowed out eggs during the spring and fill them with confetti. They seal off the open side of the egg with tissue paper. Then on holidays such as Easter, they have a cascarones fight. The goal is to crush your confetti- filled egg on someone's head! #WEareTIPP
Science is fascinating! LT Ball Intermediate students learned about density and created lava lamps during this afternoon's Science Club with advisors Kim Fischer and Melissa May. FUN! #WEareTIPP
Thank you, Wizards of Wright, for coming to LT Ball to teach students about Newton's Law of Motion. Students in the classes of Beth Hanes and Susan Clodfelter built rocket racers, tested them to make sure they traveled straight and far, and made modifications. #WEareTIPP

Tippecanoe High School students spent part of their day with "El Corazon De Mexico" to learn about the history and culture of Mexico through folkloric dance. The dance troupe performed several dances and brought the students on stage to learn some of the steps. #WEareTIPP
