About StageCrafters Summer Theatre Camp

StageCrafters is preparing for its 15th annual summer day camp. The camp is for students currently in grades 2-8 with an interest in theatre. Over the course of the two weeks, students work on creating a musical production to be performed for a public audience, play a variety of theatre and improvisation games, and learn about some of the aspects of technical theatre that make everything possible. The camp has been a huge success but has a maximum capacity of 85 students in order to provide all participating with the best possible experience.

The Counselors

The counselors make the entire camp possible by taking on the director role for the scenes of the musical performance and by serving as small and large group leaders of the daily camp activities. The counselors are comprised of current high school students as well as graduates of the THS theatre program. There are approximately 30 counselors working vigorously to keep the daily camp experience fast paced and fun.

Current Director

Candice Jasinski is the director of the theatre program at Tippecanoe High School and will serve as the director of StageCrafters. Mrs. Jasinski holds a B.A in Theatre Arts and has been passionately involved in theatre since she was a child. She has a wide variety of experience in the theatre arts including direction, dramaturgy, and performance. Mrs. Jasinski has many years of experience leading theatre programs for students grades 9-12, but her fondest memories are of discovering theatre as a student in a theatre camp at 5 years old. Camp is where her love of theatre started and she is so excited to share the amazing experience of drama camp with her students this year.
