Daren the Lion surprised Officer Dan Rittenhouse at L.T. Ball and congratulated him for being selected as the 2023 Ohio Larry Cox D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year. Daren the Lion is the mascot of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program and is almost as recognizable as Officer Dan! #WEareTIPP
Congratulations to Tippecanoe High School teacher Denise Moore-Robertson, this year's recipient of the TORCH Award. The Ohio Representing Character and Heart (TORCH) honors extraordinary teachers annually by celebrating their efforts to model a strong character and heart for students, colleagues, and the community. 😊The Tippecanoe High School Academic Quiz Team competed at the National History Bowl and Bee in Washington, DC.

🏆The team of Sahil Mehta, Sean Nichols, Connor Snider, Annaleah Lambert, and Corbin Berberich finished 6-4 against some of the best schools in America! Playing on the varsity B team were Collin Snider, Kyler Oney, Kyler Lambert, and Ben Van Oss.
👏Annaleah represented the state of Ohio in the flag procession during the opening ceremonies.
👏Sadhil also placed in the top 20 in the country in the National Historical Geography competition!
👨🏫After the tournament wrapped up, the group headed to the National Mall, where teacher extraordinaire Joe Bellas gave a guided tour of the Capitol as well as a nighttime walk to the Washington Memorial!
🤩Can you imagine how great that was for students?! Thank you, Mr. Bellas for providing students with amazing experiences and unique opportunities. He said he has a blast doing it!

Some Broadway Elementary third graders toured the Tippecanoe High School Tiny Houses! Teacher James Kitchen welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of wearing hard hats and safety goggles, and explained how his high schoolers build the homes. The young students enrolled in Amy Grescowle's enrichment class are working with "clients" and "builders" to design and construct model Tiny Houses! #WEareTIPP #traditionofexcellence
